My name is Emily, and I'm 19 years old. I'm half-American and half-Turkish. I have one biological brother who is 11, one half-brother who is almost 3, and two stepbrothers, 18 and 17. I have a mom, a dad, a step-dad and a step-mom. Yeah, I know, it's a little bit confusing, but it can be fun too.

I just finished my first year of university. My plan is to major in Political Science and to minor in French. My plans for the future are a little bit iffy because I'm always finding out about new professions, but right now I'd like to go to law school or get a master's in International Affairs. I'm really interested in international history and politics. My ultimate goal, though, is just to help people. I'd like to do humanitarian work in Sudan.

I have lots of friends, and even though I have a main group of friends that I spend a lot of time with, I like to change it up a bit and hang out with other people once in a while. It feels really refreshing to be around loads of people and to do a variety of things. I spend a majority of my time out on the town with my friends and staying out of trouble, of course.

I applied for Sweet Designs because I've always been sort of a writer and I enjoy sharing my experiences with other people. I also enjoy reading the other articles and learning about the other authors on the site. Most of all, I love writing for Sweet Designs!

I'm extremely independent and live life on my own terms. I live, for the most part, without regret. I'm loud and nosy, but I'm caring and kind. I love to laugh, and smiling most definitely has to be my favorite.

I listen to pretty much everything except for country, but even that has an exception. I have loads of favorite movies, but the top 3 would have to be V for Vendetta (the graphic novel is also really good), Forrest Gump, and Star Wars.

"I hope that the world turns and that things get better and that people have roses again." - Valerie, V for Vendetta
