"The Voice of a New Generation"
Sweet Designs Magazine is an online magazine with articles and features for teenage girls, including fashion, beauty, advice, real life, health, teen issues, entertainment, DIY, crafts, polls, humor, contests, and fun stuff.
SDM staff features some of America's brightest young writers. Its contributors are teenage girls and young adult women with something to say and the ability to say it. Editor-in-Chief Stephanie Lynn, 23, from Massachusetts, welcomes all responsible points of view and subject matter relevant to teenage girls today. 88% of SDM's readership consists of female teens between the ages of 12 and 18. Says Ms. Lynn, "It's my goal to promote healthy, positive life choices on the part of teenage girls, and to give them an outlet to creatively express themselves and grow as writers and as people."
Upon publishing 10 full articles (representing about a year of submissions), a Gold Star icon and the designation "SDM Featured Writer" are awarded to volunteer staff writers. Likewise, on publishing 40 advice answers, a Gold Star and the designation "Sweet Advice Featured Columnist" are awarded to advice team members.
The goal of Sweet Designs is to provide a venue for young female writers with something positive, helpful, or interesting to say, allowing them to gain confidence and experience in their writing abilities. SDM also provides a helpful resource for those struggling with teenage issues, from relationships to lifestyle choices.
