Hey ladies! Hope everyone's prom went over well! Wasn't it a blast?

For those of you whose prom was a few years ago - remember all the fun you had?

Didn't you feel gorgeous all dressed up in your brand new dress? Wasn't it fun dancing the night away with all your friends?

Or, for some of you, don't you wish you could have gone? Maybe you couldn't afford a dress, and it totally shot down your dreams of being at prom.

Was this you or someone you know? Doesn't it suck, missing out on the best night of your life? While all your friends are dancing the night away, your excuse was "I don't have a date", or "I'm sick", or, the best one, "Prom is lame".

Let's face it - no girl thinks prom is lame. Almost every girl wants to go to prom and look the prettiest. But some girls just can't afford all the prom treatments. They can't afford the professional hairdos, the manicured nails, the high heeled shoes, or the fancy gowns. And, because of that, they miss out on one of the best nights of their lives.

Whether this is you, or a friend, or someone you don't even know - we have to support each other. So, if you've already had your fabulous night, donate your dress. Sure, some of you have been to more than one prom or semi and have more than one dress. Let's be honest - will you ever wear those dresses again? They are way too formal for a casual night out. If anything, the only time you would ever wear them is at a wedding or fancy ball, and how many of those do we get to go to in a lifetime? Unless you're rich and famous and walking down the red carpet every year, you won't get many opportunities. And even then, you will have a designer dress made just for you, or at weddings, you will have a certain dress picked out if you are a bridesmaid.

So, instead of letting your dresses hang there and collect dust while you gain weight (admit it - you will NOT fit into those dresses in ten years) donate your dress(es) to a good cause. There are TONS of girls who may not be able to attend prom, just because they don't have a dress.

Start a donation program at your school (my high school has one), or donate to other places. Around this time, you may hear about prom dress donations on TV or the radio. Take them out of your closet and donate! What if that girl was you? Don't let a girl miss out on a wonderful night because she can't afford a dress. Donate your prom dress!
