Fasten Your Seat Belt, The New Year Has Arrived

By Hira, age 23, Pakistan

A new year has arrived - new hopes, desires, and most importantly, your resolutions!! We make them and finally break them. :D Anyway, every year we try to make our year one of the best years of all.

Let's go back and think about all the resolutions you made, and you will know the names you value a lot. It might be your family, friends, lovers, kids ... and the list continues ...

Let's think about those who are the closest to you. Yes, I'm talking about your family. Why not dedicate this year to your family? I can help you.

♥ If you have a younger sister, make dollhouses with her or help her in her studies. Sit with her and ask about the problems she might be facing. i.e. spend time with her.

♥ Once I read a line, "who listens to brothers?!" But I say, why not? Why not listen to your brother? We always get into conflicts with brothers. We must understand they have a very different mix of personality. We are all different from each other, so try to tolerate people around you. (It's not very difficult.)

♥ Love your parents like you have never loved them before. Be a source of pride for them. I don't mean to become superwoman :D I mean, show your love, spend more time with them, understand their problems, and even try to resolve them. If you will show love for them they will love you 10 times more. (Try it yourself.)

Hey, don't forget your friends, loved ones. Save time for them too. Another suggestion is to try to resolve conflicts if you have any.

To end, I would like to share a quote for a beautiful start:

"Life is a sketch; a selection of the colors of love, shades of thoughts and patterns of feelings will change the sketch into a beautiful picture. So try to utilize the art of sincerity; you will surely create a masterpiece."
