She Hates Me, She Really Really Hates Me!

The best question you could ask me is, "So, what do you write?"Why? Because this is my answer: "Loads of stuff. Blogs, articles, short stories, novels, fanfiction, essays for unappreciative English teachers ..."
Yep, that's right - my English teacher hates me and my writing.
At first I thought it was just my writing (2 B's and a C, when I'm usually getting A's kinda gives off that vibe), but now as her 'playful' insults continue, I'm pretty sure it's me.
I'm not sure why she's so mean, but I can tell you that it made me miserable for months! After all, if my own English teacher hated me, then who was I as a writer? And if I wasn't a writer, what would I do with my life?
So I spent weeks just moping around and not writing. I vented about the Dragon Lady (my nickname for her) on my blog, but that was the only writing I did. She had completely destroyed me.
Then I received an email from a fellow writer and reader friend of mine. She wanted to know why I hadn't written in so long. She missed reading my work. That simple email made me practically glow.
I continued writing, and it took a while before I felt as confident as I do now. I refused to let a silly teacher bring me down.
The lesson I learned: don't let others deter you from your dreams.
And as for DL and I, I'm saving up a small folder with clips of my work. And when I save up just as much courage, if not more, then I'm going to show it to her.
