Sweaters

By Kenzi, age 19, California

It's that time of year. It's time for loose and baggy clothing for comfort. It's a time to stop getting dressed up and a time to start walking around in sweats with your hair up in a bun and hardly any make up. It's a time for walks in the afternoon that don't make you sweat up the ying-yang and a time for color to paint the leaves and clutter the streets. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it's time for fall. It's time for sweaters.

Fall is my favorite season because I'm definitely a jeans kind of girl and my priority is always comfort over cuteness. So I've been striving for the last couple years to find ways to look cute, but still stay comfy and warm in the fall and winter seasons. Working in retail, I've observed that flowy and loose are still a trend for the fall season. So, of course, I jumped all over that and bought myself some comfy new sweaters!

Sweater available for $69.50 at www.ae.com or your local American Eagle Outfitters store.

This is probably my favorite sweater just because there are so many ways to wear it. I bought it mainly for the purpose of pairing it with some black jeggings (also purchased at AE) and some caramel Doc Martin wedge boots purchased online. I wear it more as a dress than anything else. Accessorized with a sheer white scarf and loose wavy hair it definitely gives off the flirty girl vibe while also letting me just lounge around.

This sweater is cute on its own, simply because the buttons give it that extra flare of fashion. Of course, spicing it up with a scarf is always a good idea, but I usually just put on a long necklace and call it good.

The last sweater I bought for the season is more for layers. Black, maroon, and olive long sleeves look amazing underneath. And for the days that get a little warmer camis and fashion tanks look great as well.

Although this is just my fashion taste there are tons more styles of sweaters available and a million different ways to dress them up or down. But this fall is unquestionably the season of sweaters.
