Why I Write for SDM: I enjoy writing in general but SDM has provided me with the opportunity to write about issues I feel strongly about. Not only do I get to communicate with other teenagers like me, but also point out some crucial topics we sometimes think but don't voice out. SDM is a place that allows me to inform or simply share my opinion and a place where people can come together for a single purpose: understanding the teenager life.
Activities, Sports, Interests: Sports have never been my thing but I do enjoy running at times during those summer afternoons. My schedule is definitely filled up with a variety of activities from student council to volunteering at a hospital to writing for my high school and college newspaper, but sometimes it's better to do something than stand there and do nothing. I'm interested in writing and getting to discover more about the world since it's always fascinated me with its diversity and places.
Favorite Authors: I enjoy Sarah Dessen books since they always manage to bring across a lesson and the coming-of-age of the characters. For other books, I tend to scan the library bookshelves, and it's not the author that matters but the book.
Favorite School Subjects: English and my newspaper class have got to be my favorite subjects at school. This probably derives from my like of books.
Favorite Movies: I definitely watch HBO a lot and enjoy movies such as Serendipity.
Favorite TV Shows: I watch a lot of shows, including comedy (The Big Bang Theory), fashion, and crime shows. I'm also a documentary junkie, weather follower, and let's not forget the constant news, CNN.
I listen to: Typically, I listen to country, pop, rock, oldies and classical. I don't necessarily have a favorite artist since a lot of great songs tend to be from different people.
Most Important Values: I would say determination and dedication since I've always been a focused person and strive to reach my goals.
I enjoy: Reading and writing are my favorite two things. I love trying new things or going through different experiences since you never know what you'll see or learn.
Future Plans: I plan on heading off to college to a new city where I hope to enjoy every year there. And I'm looking forward to a study abroad program that hopefully will take me to England.

What I'm All About: I would say that I think a lot. But I also like talking or writing to express my opinion. I believe in standing up in the face of injustices and I constantly wish to step into another chapter of my life and see where it takes me. I also believe it's about dreaming and reaching those dreams since nothing can be impossible at this time anymore.
