Perfect V-Day Gift Ideas

Valentine's Day can be a little hectic if you don't know what to give that sweetheart of yours. Don't worry. I'll try to keep this pretty straightforward. Simplicity is sometimes the best gift you can give someone. It demonstrates caring and love just as well as something luxurious and expensive. The key to giving the perfect Valentine's gift is always homemade. The homemade process shows your loved one you put time and thought into his or her gift.

Here are some of my ideas:

The Love Letter

If you're a bit more romantic than the average person, you might want to consider the love letter as your perfect gift. You can pair up the letter with a little extra something of your choice. For example, chocolates, lollipops, and even a cute stuffed animal.

Pictures Last a Lifetime

I love this idea because I did it and it worked. Giving that special someone a picture of you two is the best, plus he or she gets to show it off to his or her family. (he-he) To add a touch of decoration, you should think about buying a nice frame for the picture and adding a bow to one of the corners of the frame. Voila!

The Classic Teddy Bear

Oh yes, they're cute, they're super fluffy, and today you might want to purchase one. Hey, who said guys don't like stuffed animals?! This gift is a classic - just go ahead and ask anyone.

Poetry

If you're willing to take the time to write a poem, be my guest. Poetry is simple, beautiful, and breathtaking when written with love. You can add a touch of glamour if you write your poem on a very random object. For example, wood. (Use nice wood.)

Tickets

Tickets, huh? What is she talking about? (lol) Well, what I mean by tickets is that you can be a sweetheart and buy tickets to a concert or even a baseball game. This will be a good date and a good V-day gift.

Love Basket

Now if you have more money in your pocket, then maybe you will want to go ahead and prepare what I call a Love Basket. The basket can hold all the things your bf or gf likes. For example, if he or she is a music lover, then you should purchase his or her favorite CD, a poster of the artist, and other things that might come to mind. Mayra's tip: Fill the basket with various materials to make a cushion for the objects you will place inside.

It's very easy to give a bad gift on V-day, so here are some of the gifts you probably shouldn't give!

A Gift Card

Gift cards generally show a lack of care. It also communicates laziness and procrastination. Although buying a gift card is easy, you might want to erase this idea from your head. Definitely not the perfect gift.

Undergarments

For some strange reason I have actually heard of people giving these as presents. Wake-up call! Undergarments should not ever, ever be on your list until you are married!

Really Expensive

Okay, you probably shouldn't get your special someone a really expensive gift, unless you two are married. An expensive gift at the age of 14-17 is a no-no!

I sure hope these ideas and tips will help you in some way, and hopefully you are able to get a special gift for your bf or gf. Happy V-day from me to all of you!!!
