Why I Write for SDM: I write for Sweet Designs Magazine because I simply love to write. Writing has helped me overcome many obstacles in my life and it continues to serve as a positive outlet where I can express my feelings in a healthy manner. I only hope to use my life experiences to motivate and inspire other women to reach for their dreams no matter what the circumstances.
Activities, Sports, Interests: I'm a very active person! I enjoy dancing, drawing, playing sports, and I'm up for trying pretty much any new thing. My favorite activities include collecting seashells, reading new books, shopping, and taking on new projects. I'm also involved on my college campus with my sorority Lambda Sigma Gamma; we serve the community, coordinate fundraising events, and excel academically.
Favorite Authors: I don't have a favorite author, but I do enjoy reading non-fiction books! I love to read the dictionary every now and then; it helps me to expand my vocabulary.
Favorite School Subject: My favorite subject would have to be English. Although many find writing papers as torture, I can't help but love writing them because I enjoy being able to articulate my ideas.
Favorite Movies & TV Shows: My favorite movies are The Notebook, Avatar, Coyote Ugly and Stomp the Yard. Some of my favorite shows include National Geographic, Jersey Shore, Say Yes to the Dress and Cake Boss.
I listen to: Drake, Trey Songz, Ryan Leslie, Beyonce, Ashanti, and Cassie. I'm a sucker for love, so you can usually find me listening to R&B and Spanish Pop.
Most Important Values: My mother always instilled in me to be humble, no matter how big life happens to bless you. She taught me the importance of staying true to myself and more importantly my dreams. She has molded me into a great woman and I only wish to continue making her proud.
I enjoy: Hanging out with my family and sorority sisters. It's always good to spend time with both my families considering they are my biggest supporters. I also enjoy listening to music because it helps me get through difficult days and helps me celebrate my victories!

Future Plans: I plan to major in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Spanish Language Journalism. My ultimate goal is to become a TV Host or Reporter. I would love to work in the music entertainment business, either on the American or Hispanic networks. For now, I'm working on becoming a print model and developing my own website called Beyoutiful!
