Pity the Sinner

By Sam, age 18, Massachusetts
Sweet Designs Staff Intern

Poor World,

It fell into a pile of mud and now the sludge won't come off.
Now the grime has poisoned the oceans, plagued the land, and worse ...
Coiled itself behind the ignorance of Tomorrow.

Poor Pandora,

Everyone keeps pointing the finger at her,
But she insists the World tripped on its own.
After a few days locked in her room, we'll forgive her.

She got sick of everyone pushing their problems onto her.
She finally ran away to play among the stars.

She just must have forgotten to come back down to Earth.
