Joined the SDM Team: June 2009

Why I Work with SDM: Not only do I love to write and express my ideas and opinions through writing, but I also love to cultivate the ideas of others. Through this magazine I hope to not only expand my experience with writing, but to also encourage other girls to do the same.

Activities, Sports, Interests: Reading, writing, art, doodling, anime/manga, web comics, movies, swimming, volleyball, and video games.



Favorite Authors: Meg Cabot, Garth Nix, Christopher Moore, Neil Gaiman, Markus Zusak, and Haruki Murakami.

Favorite School Subjects: English, Creative Writing, Japanese, and Psychology.

Favorite Movies: Amelie, Children of Men, V for Vendetta, The Dark Night, The Princess Bride, Hot Fuzz, Howl's Moving Castle, The Orphanage, and Chungking Express.



Favorite TV Shows: Chuck, Reaper, Heroes, Burn Notice, VH1's I love the ___ series, Robot Chicken, Doctor Who, and Torchwood.

I listen to: Anything alternative, but some of my favorite artists are Pink, Dashboard Confessional, Muse, Switchfoot, and Snow Patrol.



Most Important Values: Optimism, respecting the opinions of others, and thinking outside the box.

I enjoy: Penguins, pirates, ninjas, vampires, summer sunsets without mosquitoes, chocolate chip cookies, Diet Coke, and spending quality time with the people I care about most.

Future Plans: Finish college with a degree in Creative Writing, study abroad in Japan, becoming a financially stable writer, live on my own, make friends, make mistakes, have my cake and eat it too, find true love, try not to lose true love, live to be 110 years old, and be happy.
