Sweet Designs Featured Writer

Age 27, New Jersey

Joined the SDM Team: March 2008

Why I Write for SDM: Because it allows me to share a side of myself that most don't get to see. If something I write can help at least one person know they aren't alone, and that I've been there and it really will be ok, then that's all the reason I need to continue writing.

Activities, Sports, Interests: I volunteer at Angel Food Ministries at my church.

Favorite Authors: I love Mitch Albom and S.E. Hinton.

Favorite School Subjects: In college, Psychology and English; in high school, English and any Art class.

Favorite Movies: Pretty Woman, Love Actually, Twilight series, Coach Carter, Rocky series, Lethal Weapon series, Remember the Titans, Wedding Crashers, and Facing the Giants.

Favorite TV Shows: Private Practice, Grey's Anatomy, Hell's Kitchen, American Idol, and The Bachelor.

I listen to: A lot of different stuff. Matt Nathanson, Matt Kearney, Sugarland, Toby Keith, Josh Kelley, Collective Soul, Bon Jovi, Casting Crowns, Marc Shultz, O.A.R., New Found Glory, Leona Lewis, Taylor Swift and a lot more. I'm diversified (lol).

Most Important Values: Honesty.

I enjoy: Concerts, knee high socks, the beach, video games, taking the perfect "Facebook worthy" pictures, board games, snow cones, theme parks, and frozen M&M's in popcorn.

Future Plans: I love to travel, so every year my family and I go somewhere different. I want to publish a book one day, but in a diary/poetry style of writing. And I also plan to be receiving an Oscar award one day - hey, a girl can dream, right?
